For almost 40 years, the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center has been providing programs and services to hundreds of clients annually. Our mission is to improve the emotional and physical health of individuals through the therapeutic use of horses, and to serve as an international training ground and education center for therapeutic riding techniques and instruction.

As a nonprofit organization, the Cheff Center relies on financial and in-kind contributions to support our programs. Our students require financial support to participate in our program. Although we ask a fee, it doesn't cover our costs.

Something truly magical happens when these riders and horses come together. Therapeutic horseback riding challenges individuals to achieve and improve both physically and mentally.

Therapeutic Riding is offered to clients all year round with programs in both fall and spring semesters and camp programs in the summer. For immediate openings, call 269-731-4471.

Pretty Lake Vacation Camp is a premier youth organization serving southwestern Michigan with a mission of utilizing the natural outdoor environment to provide programs that foster learning, growth and personal development of youth, families and adults. Since 1916, the camp has provided totally cost-free, residential summer camp programs to more than 50,000 at-risk youth from the greater Kalamazoo area – children who, most likely, would otherwise not have been able to attend or afford summer camp.

Through the financial support of generous individuals and organizations, we provide everything that campers need during their session at camp – clothes, toiletries, bedding, towels, food, transportation to and from camp, and activities – at no cost to the camper or their family or caregiver. Our focus is to assist in the development of campers by teaching life skills and helping campers cope with life’s challenges. If you would like to support their efforts, your donation is greatly appreciated.
